Tom Hilgers currently serves as the chair of the diaconate and has served as a deacon at Spruce Creek since 2003. Tom and his family were welcomed by the church when they moved to the area from North Carolina and have been blessed to worship at Spruce Creek since 1998. He has experience working in estate planning, financial management, university administration and college teaching. He is a graduate of Covenant College (GA) and has completed graduate degrees in finance, counseling and education. Tom and his wife, Jae, have been blessed with three adult children (Ryan, Jordan and Tyler) and three grandchildren (so far).
